Kairos 26 Interrupted by Lockdown

After some concerns about the availability of prison chaplains, Kairos 26 began on Labor Day Friday, August 31, 2007. "God's Time" continued through the end of Saturday, September 1. However, on Sunday morning, the Penitentiary was locked down, and the Kairos weekend was suspended indefinitely.

The lockdown also postponed the Reunion that would have normally occurred on September 8, and, due to conflicting religious observances and lack of chaplains, September 15 could not be used as a substitute. Watch your email for announcements on the next Reunion.

Team Meeting Schedule

All meetings to run 8:30 to 4:00 pm

Notes from the The Rector (June 23, 2007)

K-26 is on, praise God! Receiving copies of Team Applications via email is a little like Christmas: "Oh boy, Omer is serving, and Scott Wilson and Steve Marsh and Steve Murray and ." So keep the applications coming - fill out on the Lompoc-Kairos web site. Also you can start to fill out the NCIC Form and fax it to the below number. No cover page required.

Due to the short notice from the institution and my vacation plans for the summer, the Team Meeting Schedule is a bit compressed. I apologize for that especially to those who drive a great distance.

Notes from the Rich Antles, Jr. (June 15, 2007)

Mark your calendars for Labor Day Weekend, August 31 - September 3, 2007. This is absolutely fantastic news and truly an answer to our prayers!

With so little time to prepare, Hank will need all our cooperation and support to get K26 organized. I ask that you all be ready, willing and able to do whatever you can to help out. Even the little things are important.

First order of business is to thank the Good Lord Himself for taking the lead on our behalf and making the weekend possible. Next is to check your heart to see if God is calling you to participate as a team member for K26.

God's soldiers are once again called to duty at USP Lompoc. God's Spanish-speaking soldiers are especially being called. Seriously guys, if you speak Spanish, the ministry needs you now more than ever before.

K26 is going to be awesome and I can hardly wait! My love to you all.
